Our Stars of the week for a fifth time: 503!

The students of class 503 have been the Stars of the week five weeks in a row!  Two week's ago our reward was to enjoy a class dance party!  We finished our day listening to some  very catchy tunes and busting some pretty cool moves!  (I'm sure some of you will need to explain what busting a move is to our little munchkins:) )







Some time this week we will be going to the park as that is what we got as last week's reward!  
We're loving this star treatment:)

Camp Papillon

What a great day we had in spite of the rain! 
Today the kids got to work on some fun team building activities.  Team bonding brings students together by encouraging collaboration and teamwork. Fun activities help them see each other in a different light allow them to connect in a different setting. 
Camp Papillon is fantastic at creating the setting for these wonderful experiences.




































The kids were great and we had a blast!

Prime Factorization a.k.a Factor Trees

Math Antics video on Prime Factorization:



A Prime Number can be divided evenly only by 1 or itself.  It must be a whole number greater than 1.

The first few prime numbers are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, and 17. Use a prime number chart if you need more.
Prime Factorization

"Prime Factorization" is finding which prime numbers multiply together to make the original number.
Factors, so basically working on factor trees:)

"Factors" are the numbers you multiply together to get another number:

Papier Mâché fun!

Hello everyone!
While 602 was enjoying their soccer day and the beautiful weather, class 503 was diligently working on their Halloween craftivity!
Some of the kids thought it was a little messy but enjoyed every minute of it!
