Earth day fun with 503

Hi everybody,
After working on the CAT IV exams all morning, the munchkins enjoyed a very relaxing and creative activity.  We used sheets of newspaper and oil pastels to create beautiful art:

We also enjoyed ourselves during indoor recess:

We are a talented bunch, look at what we made?

I was also surprised by Miss Fil and the kids with this wonderful poster:

Thank you Miss Fil xoxoxox

We had a wonderful day!
Thank you for all the birthday wishes :)
Have a great Earth day everybody!

Upcycled Tesselations

Hello everyone,
What a day we had today!  Earth day is just around the corner, to celebrate the sixth graders are working on an upcycled-math-art activity.  They also learned about Tesselations so they are putting their knowledge to the test creating their chefs d'oeuvres!

We also started making paper!

What would the fifth graders do tomorrow?
Stay tuned to see more pics of our wonderful work!
Have a great evening,
Miss Lopez
