Magic and waffles! What a treat!

Today was our Welcoming  activity and we enjoyed a yummy treat and a magic show!

Miss Ida and miss Lisa were part of the show! I was too but luckily there are no pictures of the Rubik's cube number 😉

I hope the munchkins went home to tell you all about the great day we had!
Stay safe!

Welcome to grade 6!

What's cooking in our bubble?

We have started a school year like no other. Covid19 is here and we are doing our very best to stay safe but we have been away from our friends, classmates and teachers for too long that we are going to make our grade 6 year simply amazing.   We are in our bubble and we are having a blast!

Welcome back to school!

Hello everybody!

Welcome to a brand new school year!  I hope that your summer and enjoyed many wonderful adventures and special memories.

I am Miss Lopez and I am looking forward to working with you this school year! I cannot wait to begin this journey with you all.  As a teacher, I strive to have a creative classroom environment and to push my students to be their very best!  This is why I am once again incorporating Flexible Seating in my classroom.  This means that when students are working they will have the freedom to find comfortable spaces around the room (our bubble) to work.  The student might be kneeling, standing, sitting, working with a clipboard, sitting at a desk with an exercise ball or mambo stool.  There are many possibilities of what this can look like in a classroom!  Research shows that students are able to focus and do their best work when they are comfortable:)  I will send a letter home with your munchkin that explains Flexible seating a little more.  By the end of the week they should be able to tell you all about multiple intelligences:)

I will be communicating with you in a variety of ways throughout the year.  One of the way to stay connected will be this blog.  Bookmark it, join it, or visit it often so not to miss what is going on in our classroom!

Looking forward to a wonderful year together!

Our Grads are busy bees at home!

I have never been so impressed by a bunch of young adults who are so responsible, persistent and hardworking.  Our PDC grads don't let anything, not even a virus, stop them from doing their best.

I've been telling them that they are going to change our world, for a better one, I am not wrong!

Look at what our munchkins have been up to:

Being supportive of their classmates

Working on cool, "yummy" assignments!

Creating videos...too long to share here...but super cool!

Wearing the PDC hoodie proudly
.
Mowing the lawn

Working hard on assignments

I am so proud of all of you! I do tell you this every time I can, because you need to hear it!  You guys are amazing!
