Cool readings while practicing social distance

Hello everybody!
Many of you have asked me if it was okay to finish the novels we began reading during our first Book Club.  My answer is, YES! Please go right ahead😃.  That way whenever we go back to school we will be able to discuss the novels and conclude this activity with a pretty clever project.
In the event that you have been proactive and have already finished your Book Club novel and want to continue reading, here are some websites where you can download free ebooks or audiobooks:

In the meantime let me leave you with something awesome!  Some of you have shared all of the pretty cool things you have been learning while you are socially distancing yourselves to stay safe.  Emilia is teaching herself how to play the guitar!  Check it out:

More interesting sites!

Hello everyone!  How are you all doing?  I hope you are all staying safe, practicing social distance and helping your parents out during this very long "break".
I found a nice message on Instagram that many teachers are posting to show that they as well, are missing their students.  So I decided to use it and share a picture of our classroom.

I also have a lot more links to share with you, please use them if you'd like to review all the topics we covered in class;)

Visit Google Classroom tomorrow for more cool assignments to keep you reviewing;)
I miss you all, and I can't wait to see you.

Art Activities

Engaging with art is essential to the human experience. Almost as soon as our motor skills are developed, we communicate through artistic expression.  A number or researchers have shown that arts can increase students’ performance in other subjects.  Since we are spending all this time indoors to keep everyone safe, why not try one of these activities?
Please make sure to prepare the area where you will be crafting before you begin.  You have seen me prep our tables with a garbage bag before we start "crafting" at school.  Do the same at home;)
Wear an old t-shirt to avoid ruining your clothes.

https://www.momdot.com/how-fluid-paint-kids/.   This one is a messy one.  Items from your parents bathroom cabinet may be required, so ask for help and permission first.
Make sure you do prep your area before you begin...it could get messy

Let me know which one you decide to tackle today and feel free to share pictures of your work of art!
Stay safe

Practicing Social Distance

Hello to all!
First of all I want to say that I miss you all very much!  However, in order to stay safe we need to practice social distancing and stay home to be safe and keep others safe.  We need to work together to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
I know that staying indoors for long periods of time can drive you bananas, so why not share what we have been up to :)

This video will help you better understand the Corona virus:
