Making extraterrestrial creatures and pizza!

What a fun and creative week we had! We started the week with our outdoor classroom initiative. We finally got used to the tiny bugs and flies and were able to work on Math and grammar.

Then on Thursday we created notre creature extra-terrestre! We used Microsoft Word to type up their description, then we let our imagination go using our playdough. We missed playing with playdough!

Today we made our perfect fraction pizzas and watched a fantastic video on fractions!  You may want to watch it one more time!

L'étoile de la semaine.

Notre belle Jena est notre étoile de la semaine. Jena est l’ainée de la famille: elle a deux petits frères aussi adorables qu’elle.  Elle a un chien Labrador comme animal de compagnie, son nom est Bobby.  Son livre préféré est Green Eggs and Ham de Dr. Seuss et son film préféré est Nanny Mc Phee.  Elle adore visiter Myrtle beach avec sa famille.
Elle aime écouter des chansons de Selena Gomez et manger des cannellonis.
Plus tard Jena aimerait être une professeure parce qu’elle aime enseigner et aider les autres.

A week in class 303

Is summer here already?  It felt like it today in our classroom!
We had a very busy week this week.  We started Monday with fun Math Centers.  We enjoyed a board game, worksheets on division, time, and bar graphs, and we practiced our Math skills on IXL Math:)

Wednesday we built 3-D shapes using marshmallows, toothpicks and straws!  Oh yes, we ate some too:)

Today we rolled the C.O.W (Computers On Wheels) into our classroom for a lesson of Microsoft word and to type our description de notre créature extraterrestre!

 Feeling the heat in the afternoon, we migrated to the park to work on our verbe aimer au passé composé!  (Please read email on Outdoor Classroom Initiative).

We had a blast this week!

Happy Mother's day to all the mommies!

Thank you for all the work that you do and all the love that you give. Thank you for the neverending support and encouragement you give "our" children. They are happy little souls that know how much you do for them. I wish you a wonderful day today filled with love and lots of hugs.

Miss Santilli: Teacher of the year!

Hello everyone!
This week we were so happy to receive City TV at Pierre de Coubertin. It was very early in the morning but we were so happy we really didn’t mind. They came to take part of the celebration. One of our very own teachers, Miss Santilli, was awarded the National Teacher of the Year award. Miss Santilli is not only my “partner in crime” she is also one of my dearest friends. She is a dedicated and passionate teacher who loves teaching and making everyone smile…and laugh!
We couldn’t be happier for her!
Congratulations Miss Santilli and keep up the good work, we are so proud of you!

Notre étoile de la semaine

Julia est notre étoile de la semaine!
Notre belle Julia est appelée ainsi parce qu’elle est un petit bijou!
Elle aime lire les romans de Théa Stilton et écouter le film La Reine des neiges.
Elle aime jouer avec son frère en écoutant de la musique de Shakira! Julia a un poisson rouge comme animal de compagnie nommé Oreo. 

 Plus tard Julia aimerait être un professeur comme Madame Lopez! Julia tu as beaucoup de patience et tu es très dévouée, tu serais une très bonne prof!
