It was an adventure last Friday as PDC headed to St-Eustache to visit Cabane à Sucre Lalande for our carnival day!
As soon as we got there, Roger explained how the maple syrup is produced the old-fashioned way: the tree is tapped with a spout, the sap collected in a pail and transported to a traditional wood-fired evaporator, where it is transformed into the yummy maple syrup we love!
We went hiking!
The petting zoo:
The sugaring off feast!
The dancing:
Hot maple taffy on fresh snow
We had lots of fun!
