Quadrilaterals, area and perimeter

Hello everyone!
What a gorgeous day we had today!  Class 403 went outside for a few minutes to enjoy the mild temperature and to get our dose of vitamin D.
In the morning we reviewed Quadrilaterals, perimeter and area.  We had forgotten a few things from last year.  Good thing I know what the teachers last year taught...:)  Because I am running out of wall space, I used the window and a dry erase marker to make sure the kiddies understood the difference between area and perimeter!

In the afternoon we had fun with fracture tales.  Fracture tales are classic fairy tales that are changed into something completely different and very funny:)  We read: Seriously, Cinderella Is SO Annoying!: The Story of Cinderella as Told by the Wicked Step mother.
I love using Fairy tales, Folk Tales and Fables to teach the kids about  the basics story writing (setting, characters, and plot) point of views, themes and different lessons.  The kids really enjoyed it!
Thursday we will be reading some fables and learning so many lessons:)

Goodnight for now:)
